Welcome to the Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools! I am
thrilled to have returned to my alma mater and
become a part of the leadership team at LLHS. In
my 30+ years in education, I have worked with
students preK through 12th grade, helping to
transition them into the workforce, military,
and secondary education. Having taught students
in general, at-risk and special education, as
well as alternative and Career and Technical
Education, I am always amazed at the abilities
our students carry with them, often hidden
within themselves until something, someone, or
some activity opens up the possibility to apply
those skills. It is a privilege to assist
students in uncovering their abilities and help
them to determine how they might use them over
their lifetime. That is the true gift of being
an educator, and being an elementary educator is
special because we encounter them at their
truest, most honest selves when they are excited
about all of the adventures that lie ahead of
them.
Elementary school is a time for children to
explore, open themselves up to new
opportunities, and uncover their interests. As a
school, it is our privilege to be there for your
sons and daughters - to help them on the path to
being the most successful form of themselves
they can become. An educator’s favorite day?
Graduation - at any level … kindergarten, 8th
grade, or high school - because it is when we as
a community see individual progress and
celebrate the milestones each student has made
over time.
The staff and I appreciate you taking the time
to allow us to introduce ourselves to you
through this website. As proud as we are of our
building, curriculum, and the various systems of
support we have in place, we are even more
excited about the people who serve you and your
children. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to
ensuring that each child reaches for their
maximum potential in an engaging and caring
environment. They spend countless hours outside
of school, over the summer, and on the weekends
preparing for your child’s education.
At
Lake Linden-Hubbell Elementary School we are
focused on academic achievement - encouraging
student growth, while ensuring student safety
and well being. We work to support students
through our Multi-Tiered Support System (MTSS)
and R.I.S.E school behavior expectations, as
well as establishing relationships through our
Friendship Fridays program. From the BHK and
GSRP preschool classes for four-year-old
children offered on our site to transitioning
fifth graders into the middle school, we feel
certain that our services and programs will meet
your student’s needs.
I invite you to visit our school so you too can
see what Lake Linden-Hubbell Elementary can
offer your family. Please feel free to contact
me to set up a visit or answer any questions you
may have. It will be our privilege to partner
with you to help your child become the best they
can be!
