Breakfast and Lunch Menu
Research shows that starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay alert and perform better in school. Having breakfast also helps students develop healthy eating habits that contribute to their well being.
The Lake Linden-Hubbell School District participates in the School Breakfast Program. Nutritious, balanced and healthy breakfasts are served Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.

Free School Meals for Pick Up
Free school meals will be available for pick up for students who are participating in remote learning, students in quarantine and children under the age of 18 in the household. (Students who are attending face to face classes will receive their free meals at school.)
Meals must be pre-ordered each week using the form that will be posted on the district homepage. Parents may also call the school to order.
The pick up time is each Monday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. near the back door of the elementary school (by the football field).
If you have any questions, please call the Food Service Department at 296-6211, option 4, then 5, or email Debbie Rheault at drheault@lakelinden.k12.mi.us. Please leave a voicemail if you call.

Teacher/Support Staff COVID-19 Grant
If you were a teacher or school support staff, who was employed by the Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools during the spring 2020 school closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible to apply for a grant through the State of Michigan.
Below you will find a link to the Michigan Department of Treasury website that explains the grant program. Also listed below is the application (Form #5734) that must be completed and returned to the Superintendent's Office no later than December 4, 2020.
Printed copies of the form are available in the Superintendent's Office. If you need your PIC number, please contact the Superintendent's Office.
In order to qualify:
1. You had to be employed by the District prior to the shutdown and work from March through June 2020.
2. To receive teacher pay, you must be a classroom teacher K-12.
3. All ancillary staff, parapros and bus drivers would fall under support staff pay.
4. Substitute teachers do not qualify.
5. If you were not a full-time employee during the 2019-2020 school year, the grant amount will be pro-rated.

Library Re-opens to the Public
The Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Library is open to the public Monday through Friday by appointment only. Each appointment is for 30 minutes.

Online Food Service Payments
Payments may be made online for student lunch accounts. To make an online payment, visit SendMoneyToSchool.com by clicking on the link below. You will need your child's lunch ID number which you may obtain by calling any of the District offices.

Late Start Schedule
In the event of a two hour delayed start to school, the schedule will be as follows:
Jr./Sr. High School - 10:00 am to 3:20 p.m. (Students report to their 1st hour class.)
Elementary School - 10:15 a.m. to 3:04 p.m.
Local radio and television stations will announce details of the school delays and closings. The Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools will also display the information as an "Urgent Message" on the district home page as well as sending a text message via our emergency alert system.
